An elder in our community lost his house to a flood, so we raised $350 and built him a new one. We also learned about a widow and mother of two who needed a new home and had never owned a mattress or bed mat. We raised $600 to build a new home and purchase a new mattress, which was delivered to the new home we built for her in Jesus’ name. We have many needing hearts that suffer from elements everyday with sickness that comes from no shelter or inadequate means of. Providing these homes and essential items is incredibly important. For the elder, a new house means safety and stability after the devastation of the flood. For the widow and her children, a new home and a proper mattress offer comfort and dignity, significantly improving their quality of life.
