About Us

“Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception. On the contrary, we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.”~ 2 Corinthians 4:2

Mission and Goals

The primary goal of SpreadSmiles Ministries is to distribute a Bible to every household and individual worldwide. We aim to ensure that Bibles are available in children’s churches across all countries and regions, showcasing the transformative love of God through His powerful Word.

At SpreadSmiles Ministries, we are continually striving to touch more hearts in various ways, adapting to new technologies and embracing new initiatives. Our efforts include supporting Christian relief activities abroad and engaging in mission-related and recovery programs in the U.S. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of God’s children from all cultures, sharing the endless blessings of God.

We reinvest every penny into our diverse and evolving causes. We are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to serve—a service that constitutes our reward on earth. In our ministry, we seek the Lord’s guidance and approval, trusting that He will amplify and manifest His goodness in every mission we undertake and accomplish for His glory.

How We Got Started

Back in 2019, as COVID-19 began its spread across the nation and the world, my wife Kati and I felt inspired to extend some financial blessings to our local Christian radio station, WMRA 90.9 or KLOVE. We hoped to share the transformation we experienced from secular to Christian music, touching hearts with the joy of Christian outreach just as ours had been. In response to our prayers, the concept for SpreadSmiles was born—a label for the prayer ministry I was privileged to share on various social media platforms. The remarkable ease of connecting with people globally brought immense joy to both of us.

After experimenting with several designs, we settled on a refined version crafted by Kati and launched a store on what is now the Spring platform. Initially, sales were sparse, but we recognized this as God’s preparation for the more significant role we are humbled to play today.

Fundraising Vision

This ministry has always been a movement inspired by God, starting with the “Reading the Bible in a Year” program in February 2023 and continuing to this day. When I first felt God’s call to simply sit down, read His Word, and obey, there were already followers eager for such a ministry. After just a few live sessions online, I started receiving questions like, “Where can we send donations?” and “Can we send you money?” My immediate response was that we were not soliciting funds but merely doing what God had called me to do. Despite this, we still received a few gifts through the Cashapp account I had set up years earlier for purchasing clothing.

Then, one day, I opened the mailbox to find a handwritten letter with a testimony and a $100 check included. This moment brought me to my knees, seeking God’s guidance on the direction of this movement. The answer was clear: to send Bibles to those in need. We began by sending a Bible to New Jersey, then to Pennsylvania, a couple more to Kentucky and Virginia. Hearing the testimonies of those who received the Bibles, who felt overlooked before, was profoundly moving.

God’s work didn’t stop there. Months later, during a message from Pastor David Knox at our first annual retreat, Brother Kevin from the Katolo region of Kisumu, Kenya, reached out needing 37 Bibles for Grace Katolo School, a school mostly filled with orphans that he oversees. We eagerly agreed, and after weeks of anticipation, we were overjoyed to hear of the Bibles’ safe arrival to the children. From that moment, we’ve never doubted that God would provide as He reveals the need.

Apparel Vision

My beautiful and wonderful wife, Kati, and I, married for eight fantastic years, never imagined the profound impact of sharing Jesus’ glory by simply wanting to bless others with the joyful music that Christian radio offers. We found immense joy and peace listening to countless hours of God’s goodness expressed through voice and instruments. Realizing how significantly it transformed our lives, we felt compelled to support the stations financially.

Despite living paycheck to paycheck, we are spiritually wealthier than many. To aid our mission, we began designing, making, and shipping SpreadSmiles apparel—shirts, sweatshirts, pants, and hats—to help spread the message of Jesus through the radio stations.

Ministry Prayers

Every day, SpreadSmiles Ministries begins with prayers to place a Bible in every home, allowing all eyes to witness the love of God through His Word. We are humbled and grateful to go beyond just sending Bibles, as God enables and provides the means for us to do so.

Social Media & Web

SpreadSmiles Ministries is active on Facebook and TikTok, and we also maintain a personal account on Instagram for requests. Our Facebook homepage is integrated with our website, ensuring both platforms remain current with the latest developments and the incredible ways God is working through various channels.

Prayer & Bible Studies

All glory to our Lord for the anointing of prayer works that Ashley has embraced. Every morning, Ashley posts a daily prayer on his Facebook page, which is then shared to the ministry’s homepage. Additionally, he records a prayer each morning that is initially posted on TikTok and later shared to Facebook. This prayer is also shared on Ashley’s Instagram account a day later. We encourage sharing and cross-posting through any media outlet, allowing the blessing to spread continuously as God permits.

We also host Bible reading fellowships several nights a week on our Website, Facebook an TikTok. Our fellowship is non-denominational and does not favor any particular religion; instead, we celebrate the Word of God and our relationship with Jesus Christ. Each session begins with a time of prayer, followed by a program of passages to be read. As our current study concludes, we plan to transition to another worship plan, but we feel truly blessed to share in fellowship with the many hearts that join us—whether they are regular attendees or new participants. This close and personal gathering is a true blessing, allowing us to come closer to each other’s needs and praises and to heed God’s call not to neglect assembling together, as some do.

Social Connectedness

This social interaction through live videos is a powerful way to build personal and faith-based relationships that often evolve into connections with family, friends, and donors. At SpreadSmiles Ministries, we deeply value and appreciate both prayers and financial support.

We encourage liking, sharing, and engaging with our content as each member and follower helps our community flourish. God has promised abundance to those who maintain plentiful harvest fields, and we strive to foster growth and connection through every interaction.

Invitation Vision

At SpreadSmiles Ministries, we believe that everyone, regardless of nationality, education level, or income, needs the Word of God. We view all individuals as God sees His children, with equal love and value. Our fellowship is open to everyone, and while we are particularly eager to engage younger audiences, we trust that God will bring forward those He needs in His own time. We welcome all who wish to join in our ministry and grow in faith together.

We invite everyone to join our weekly live streams for a friendly introduction to myself and other members of our community. Additionally, our website is thoughtfully designed, and we hope it encourages visitors to explore and return regularly for updates and new testimonies. We look forward to welcoming you and hope you’ll make it a habit to check in often and connect with our growing fellowship.

Testimonies

From the early days of our ministry, God has blessed us with numerous heartwarming stories, but one particularly memorable tale involves Sister Barbie and her husband Harley from Texas. After participating in several of our livestreams, Barbie felt moved to request a set of Bibles with large print that Harley could read comfortably. We quickly sent two NIV Bibles their way, covered in prayers.

While waiting for the Bibles, Barbie and Harley continued to engage with our weekly live sessions. Upon receiving the Bibles, they found that the print was still too small for easy reading. Demonstrating compassion and a spirit of giving, they decided to gift the Bibles to a mother and teenage son in their neighborhood. Barbie shared this touching story with us, and after commending their generosity and obedience in spreading the gospel, we promptly sent them two extra-large print Bibles.

This kind gesture sparked a new chapter in their lives. As they began reading together daily, Barbie and Harley realized that although they had been living together for many years, they were not married in the eyes of God. Inspired by the message in the gifted Bibles, they decided to set a date for their wedding. Amid the tail end of the COVID years, their marriage ceremony was streamed online, allowing our entire fellowship to witness and celebrate their union under Christ. We continue to praise the Lord for the blessings He is bestowing upon this remarkable couple.

Financial Transparency

One of the key factors that distinguish us from others is our commitment to transparency. We share updates from recipients and constantly relay the successes and ongoing needs of our causes through our website and social media platforms.

Additionally, we ensure that every penny received is used exclusively for the ministry; none of it is allocated for personal needs or payouts. We strive to collaborate with like-minded Christian organizations and churches, united by the common goal of reaching every heart with the Word of God.

Accountability Mission

We achieve our goals with a streamlined approach, maintaining a small number of board members and keeping all decisions, causes, and contributions closely guarded. Despite this, we openly share extensive information about various causes and fundraising initiatives on our website. We pride ourselves on being an open-door organization—our contact information is readily available, our social media platforms are public, and our website is user-friendly, making it easy for anyone to search for details or reach out with questions.

In our livestreams, I regularly update viewers on the progress of existing causes and discuss new ones that we are praying over or considering. We are fortunate to have a diverse community of all ages and backgrounds come together to share the Word of God.

Ministry Milestones

We are just over a week away from the 2nd Annual SpreadSmiles Retreat here in Vinita, Oklahoma, and we are eagerly anticipating the blessings and glory that the Lord will bring. This year, we’re excited to have attendees from three different states, including ladies who are returning from last year. A highlight of the retreat will be Sister Dawn’s baptism, conducted by our very own Pastor Sutter.

We are also celebrating significant progress in our international missions. In Katolo, Kenya, we have completed one of the 14 planned poultry houses and have successfully arranged for 45 Bibles and 45 hymnals to be delivered to Grace Pentecostal Church. Additionally, a major mission is underway in Pakistan, led by our beloved Evangelist Samroon, who is spearheading the establishment of a water plant. This project aims to provide clean water to a village of 500 families, who remain faithful in predominantly Muslim lands. This water plant, a result of many years of prayers by this community of believers, promises to be a life-saving and transformative blessing. This initiative has been selected as the focal cause for this year’s retreat.

Community & Church

We are proud to call the close-knit, ranching town of Vinita, Oklahoma, home for our ministry, and we are just starting to see the impact of our efforts take root. We have partnered with a missionary, currently on a break from fieldwork, who has spearheaded a Bible distribution project for all our public servants in the town and surrounding county. This initiative includes firefighters, police departments, dispatch teams, county sheriffs, state troopers, and native law enforcement teams.

Our local congregation, Emmanuel Church, has been incredibly supportive and active from the moment they learned of our efforts. We are truly honored to collaborate with such faithful men and women of God, working together to spread His word and love throughout our community.

Funding Sources

Currently, our ministry’s funding comes solely from personal donations and, most recently, a commitment to allocate 10% of our weekly tithes to support missions. We are deeply grateful for every contribution, which we affectionately refer to as “loaves of bread and fish,” reflecting the biblical miracle of feeding many with little. We firmly believe that God not only appreciates a cheerful giver but also abundantly blesses those who obey His call to support His work financially.

We are actively praying and striving to collaborate with churches and other public organizations. Our hope is that these partnerships will open more avenues for us to impact communities with the true Gospel, expanding our reach and deepening our collective engagement in spreading God’s word.

Prayer Over Funding

Every contribution we receive, down to the last penny, is prayed over before being allocated to projects or used for purchasing Bibles. We adhere to this practice because we believe it ensures that God is always in control and guiding our decisions. This approach allows us to witness and understand the impact of each Bible distributed and each goal achieved in real time.

Our website serves as a crucial tool, enabling our followers, donors, and casual visitors to see exactly where their funds are going. More importantly, it allows everyone to see how prayers are being answered in numerous powerful ways. We are committed to maintaining this transparency and fostering a community that sees the tangible results of their generosity and faith.

Partnerships

SpreadSmiles Ministries currently operates as an independent organization, but we are eagerly awaiting opportunities to collaborate with other Christian non-profits, churches, clubs, and groups. We are actively preparing for an upcoming Bible outreach and prayer ministry day in partnership with the local Impact Ministries here in Vinita.

Additionally, we are working to complete our Bible distribution for local public servants and planning to conduct outreach and prayer sessions in the nearby tent city. These initiatives are part of our ongoing effort to extend our reach and share the transformative power of God’s Word within our community.
