When we began the very limited access journey up from just west of Katolo, Kenya, we had no idea the gut wrenching and truly heart breaking site we would encounter on the way. As I was enjoying the memories of old, riding on the back of a solid Toyota truck being bounced all around on the camp and forest access roads of Virginia. The joy was erased by a feeling of guilt, of anger of disappointment in the source of drinking and cooking water for this community tucked away on these mountain roads.

It totally to me back as Pastor Benjiman explained so solemnly how normal it is for the people, the livestock to die from drinking this toxic source. But the hundreds of folks here have no other option, they already trek up to 5 miles one way and then 5 back towing or carrying the 40 pound gericans used to transport this precious liquid. All to possibly watch your family or neighbor die from drinking or using it. Or you are called away from cooking with it yourself, how horrible and awful a life as this.
Access to clean water will transform lives in Olasi and the many miles of surrounding mountain communities. It will reduce waterborne diseases, improve overall health, and save countless lives. Children will be able to attend school regularly instead of spending hours fetching water, and families will have more time and energy for productive activities. Thousands of lives shall be changed with all glory presented with joy before our Lord.
As Christians, we are called to help those in need. Proverbs 19:17 says, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.” And we have watched as a couple loaves and fish start such a landslide of blessings before, we along with thousands of Kenyans are rejoicing over each and every giver and lifting prayers for the promised riches from Heaven to pour out over you. Please enjoy the full journey of this start to finish project in the News section coming soon!

We are blessed to have the awesome and ready Joseph Kipto, owner of Hope Boredrilling to be our drill team again. They so went above and beyond for the EmmanuWell project in Katolo and we are sure he won’t disappoint this go. We are praying to begin as soon as possible with a realistic date of tapping being December 24th of this year yet. Please be aware, as of the posting this cause on the 3rd of September the only water they have has dried up for the season. They are added to the horrible journey even more round trip miles for survival.
